About Rita Hughes
Rita’s love for real estate began at an early age as she grew up in Greenville, SC with her father who was a developer and her brother who followed in his footsteps. Rita’s family has also lived in or owned property in Pawleys Island for over half of a century! Her childhood summer vacations were spent crabbing, fishing, swimming, and exploring the beaches and marshes here in complete fascination every day. In 2006, she realized a dream by moving full time to the area she now calls home to be near her aging parents. Earlier in her career, Rita was a residential real estate professional in Columbia until she moved to Pawleys Island. When she arrived in Pawleys, she changed careers, and spent thirteen years in commercial sales. There she succeeded in strategically helping her company grow exponentially through relationships she built traveling the coast of SC. Ultimately, Rita’s love for real estate, people, and our area brought her to the Lachicotte Company. Rita is a people person and will not leave a stone unturned in selling your home, or finding the home you want for your future.
